Search Tips
- Are you searching for a person by name? Putting their name in quotes (e.g. "John Doe") will match their exact, full name. You can use this method to search for any exact phrase.
- We have over 100 years of the Frankenmuth News online. Searching only within a specific range of dates can help to quickly narrow down results and find the issues and articles you are looking for.
- If you are looking for an issue published on a specific date, please look at the index of all issues by date.
- All of the issues in the archives were scanned by computer and converted to text using a process called optical character recognition. This technology is not perfect, and sometimes produces words with strange misspellings which won't match your search terms.
- By default, we will search for any issue containing any of the terms you enter (but issues with more of your terms will show up towards the top of the list). If you want to only search for issues containing all of your keywords, separate them with AND in all-caps (e.g. mayor AND election).
- Are you an expert searcher? You can use boolean search keywords like AND, OR, and NOT for fine-grained searching.
